Of course they are a push over, your hero in the story remember. Also, don't let the 3 person quests frustrate you, because a lot of those quests can be done as a single. I did a lot of the harder 5 man quests in Ice Crown with just one other person and I still wasn't very geared at that point.
My suggestion is to unclench, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Of course, my character IS the hero, but compared to the challenge in Outlands, the opponents and quests are much easier. And I did challenge the player suggestion: a couple of the quest line final 'elites' were in fact disappointing in a sense, mostly because I didn't even have to use my panic buttons. Or even potions...
But then again, the D.E.H.T.A. questline's end 'boss'... that is one tough cookie, even with the stampede!
